Referrer Spam – From SEDO !!!!

I wrote this post a few days ago, but forgot to post it – so here goes………
I’m BFG 9000 & I’m a stats junkie.
There – I’ve said it.
Perhaps more than is healthy, I’m very interested in stats – I tend to check not only traffic levels, conversion rates & rankings, but also stuff like browsers, resolutions & search terms.
Today I was casually reading through a list of referrers when I came across something that I presumed was referrer spam – I had a quick look at the site (so I can get an idea of who to add to my internal ’stab in the face with a rusty spoon’ list) & saw something I have never come across before – the referrer spam was from a domain that is parked on SEDO!
Why O Why would they bother?
N.B. – I’m not suggesting that SEDO had anything to do with this – I’m just confused as to the motives of someone parking a domain on SEDO & then referrer-spaming the crap out of the planet.
